Chinese firms seek policy for investments in Amaravati

The representatives of Guizhou International Investment Corporation (GIIC), a consortium of three Chinese manufacturing companies, said that the GIIC would invest in various projects in Amaravati but before that the State government had to evolve a policy.

Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana and CRDA officials held discussions with the GIIC representatives here on Tuesday.

The government was according top priority to roads in Amaravati.

The GIIC already submitted designs for it. But the GIIC would have to take a decision regarding financial assistance also, the Minister said. The GIIC representatives made a presentation on projects, including thermal, hydel and wind power in China. They said that they were ready to invest in the capital city but were waiting for the announcement of a policy.
