The Guizhou International Investment Corporation (GIIC) of China has completed field study in the strategic locations proposed to be developed by the Machilipatnam Area Development Authority (MADA).
Expressing keen interest in preparing a master plan, including township of the MADA, the GIIC’s nine-member team led by Jing Hu on Monday inspected a stretch of coastal belt between Machilipatnam and Manginapudi beach. It is learnt that the MADA had invited applications from the international agencies for preparing its master plan meant for development of 426.16 square kilometres. The last date to submit the application for tenders for the master plan is March 20. The nine-member GIIC team comprises experts in water management, roads infrastructure and urban planning. The GIIC has taken up an extensive study on various parameters, including demographic data of the MADA jurisdiction, cyclone data and weather conditions to come up with a technically sound plan to face all the challenges. The GIIC had begun its study on future needs of the MADA, availability of natural resources including coastline, and water and road infrastructure required for the population in the MADA. In March 2016, a team led GIIC vice-president Chen Zin completed its first phase of the field study which documented the government’s plan to develop MADA areas..
