Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday reached the abode of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala. He was accompanied by his wife Bhuvaneswari, son Nara Lokesh, daughter-in-law Brahmani and other family members.

On his arrival at the Padmavathi guest house, he was accorded a warm reception by Ministers, Bojjala Gopalarishna Reddy and Manikyala Rao, Tírumala Tirupati Devasthanam’ s Specified Authority Chairman JC Sharma, JEO KS Srinivasa Raju and other officials.

Naidu's visit assumes significance as he will be participating in the Vastram presentation ceremony in the capacity of Chief Minister for the first time after a gap of 12 years. The last time he presented the customary silk vastrams on behalf of the State Government was in the year 2002. Though Naidu remained in office in 2003, he could not participate in the ceremony owing to an abortive attempt on his life at Alipiri.

Naidu is scheduled to make the customary presentation at 8.00 pm soon after the conclusion of the Dwajarohanam festival.
