Campaign against fuel wastage begins today

As part of the ongoing awareness programme against wastage of diesel, petrol and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), will organise campaigns in the city on January 25 and 26.

The programmes are conducted as part of the Oil and Gas Conservation Fortnight from January 15 to 30.

A cultural team will explain the need to improve utilisation efficiency through streetplays and burrakathas, at Screw Bridge at Ramalingeswara Nagar, Bhaskaraopeta, Nirmala Convent, near Siddhartha College and Lenin Centre, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

On January 26, campaign will be at Kabela Centre, Kummaripalem Centre, Moghalrajupuram, Ayodhya Nagar and Pipula Road.

Awareness programmes were conducted at Kankipadu, Pamarru, Nunna, Machilipatnam, Ramavarappadu and Gudivada, said an official.
