Poor and backward sections should make proper use of welfare schemes of the government that are primarily launched for their benefit, Minister for Secondary Education K. Parthasaradhy has said.
Laying the foundation stone for laying cement concrete roads, roadside drains, and a community hall at an estimated cost of Rs. 36 lakh in Chodavaram village of Penamaluru mandal, the Minister said the ruling Congress government was spending funds for the development of basic infrastructure like no other government before.
He said Rs. 12,500 crore had been earmarked for providing various amenities for the SCs and STs under the SC/ST sub-plan in the budget.
