The Kay, a business boutique hotel, was inaugurated in city on Monday.

The hotel is a three-star one offering exclusive facilities for business class.

Speaking to mediapersons, its managing director K. Nagendra said the hotel was the right choice for businessmen and executives for it was closer to the airport and rail station when compared with other hotels .

“The hotel is just 10 minutes drive from Vijayawada railway station and 12 km from the airport,” he said.

He said there were five categories of rooms - Standard (Rs. 2,400 for single occupancy and Rs. 2,900 for double occupancy), Deluxe (Rs. 2,900 for single and Rs. 3,400 for double), Executive (Rs. 3,200 for single and Rs. 3,700 for double), and Superior (Rs. 3,800 for single and Rs. 4,300 for double).

“We are also offering the Presidential suite for Rs. 10, 000,” he said.

Mr. Nagendra said every room was equipped with a dressing table, a television set, a mini bar, and well-equipped shower rooms. “Deluxe and superior rooms will have a little division in space and also a writing table with a leg rest sofa.” He said banquet halls - Orchid 1 and 2 can accommodate 450 persons. “Orchid 2 is suitable for kitty parties and gatherings for a capacity of 50 persons. Orange, a 24-hour coffee shop, Purple Rain, a multi-cuisine restaurant, Black, a lounge bar, doctor-on-call, safe deposit locker, coffee and tea maker in rooms, health club and wi-fi are the other features of the hotel,” he added.
