Buses for pilgrim sites flagged off

Service to operate on two routes and charge ₹575 per head

Temple tourism in Krishna district is set to get a boost with the Collector B. Lakshmikantham flagging off a special bus service to pilgrim centres on Saturday.

The service, launched by the tourism department in association with the AP State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC), would operate on two routes at weekends and charge ₹575 per head.

Two routes

While one route would cover Vedadri, Tirumalagiri, Paritala, Kondapalli Fort, Pavithra Sangamama, Bhavani Island, Undavalli caves, Panakala Swamy temple of Mangalagiri and Kanaka Durga temple here, the other would cover Panakala Swamy temple in Mangalagiri, Undavalli caves, Yanamalakuduru, Srikakulam, Mopidevi, Machilipatnam and Kanaka Durga temple.

Krishna District Tourism Officer Velaga Joshi was present.
