: A three-day ‘Andhra Pradesh Build Tech Expo’ began at a convention centre on Bandar Road here on Sunday. About 80 organisations have displayed their products at the expo.

Inaugurating the event, Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana said such exhibitions would create awareness among builders and public about latest technologies available in the sector.

The participants said that there was a lot of potential in Andhra Pradesh, particularly in capital city Amaravati. The expo would help in creating new market. American Flooring.in, which launched its operations in the city a week ago, displayed its products at the expo.

Customised tiles

M.V. Phanindra Kumar of American Flooring.in said that customised tiles made of mica were the in-thing.

Though there is a lot of potential, a kind of ‘dullness’ was being witnessed in the State. The market would pick up once the people start moving to Andhra Pradesh from other Telangana, said V.K. Sharma of Kamai Elevators (P) Limited.

Shiny Trade Expositions, which organised Andhra Pradesh Construction Expo, Andhra Pradesh Buildtech Show and Amaravati Property show earlier, is organising the event.

The organisers said that many organisations that were into the construction business have set sights on Amaravati.

Such exhibitions create awareness among builders and public about latest technologies available in the sector.
