Bridegroom leaves everyone high & dry

A bridegroom, Srikanth, allegedly escaped minutes before his wedding after taking Rs. 65,000 from the bride’s family in the city.

According to police, Srikanth, a native of Khammam, is working with a private company in the city. The bride’s family made all the arrangement for the wedding, scheduled to be solemnised at around 10 a.m. on Sunday. They booked a function hall in Patamata Lanka area too.

They got a shock of their lives on learning that Srikanth had vanished along with the money just before the marriage. Following a complaint, the Patamata Police registered a case under Section 420 of the IPC and launched a search to nab him.
