August 06, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 07:19 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

“Today will go down as the day on which five crore people of Andhra Pradesh were insulted and as a day of treachery in the history of the State,” Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Raghuveera Reddy said on Friday.

In a statement after voting on the private member’s Bill for inclusion of Special Category Status in the A.P. Reorganisation Act was deferred, the Congress leader said that the Chief Minister was behaving as though pushkarams did not occur in any other State. This was a question of self-respect of the Telugus. The skill of Telugu Desam Party and the BJP to put up a show had come to the fore, Mr. Raghuveera Reddy said.
