"The party welcomed tie-ups with Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party and Lok Satta and was also in talks with TDP but it expected to have a ‘reasonable sharing’ of seats"

The BJP will forge alliances with parties supporting Narendra Modi’s candidature for the post of Prime Minister and at the same time prepared to fight it alone in Seemandhra if no party came forward to join hands with it. The party welcomed tie-ups with Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party and Lok Satta and was also in talks with TDP but it expected to have a ‘reasonable sharing’ of seats, said BJP Seemandhra president K. Haribabu. The final picture will emerge in less than a week.

Addressing media persons here on Saturday, Mr. Haribabu said the BJP was inclined to work with parties having common agenda of dislodging the Congress from power and doing justice to Seemandhra but it would not simply toe the line of its like-minded parties.

The BJP will contest all 175 Assembly and 25 Parliament seats on its own if there was no support from like minded parties and the cadre had been asked to keep that in mind while reaching out to the electorate. The aim was to send maximum number of MPs to get justice done for people of Seemandhra.

Mr. Haribabu questioned former Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s logic behind talking about united Andhra after the completion of bifurcation.

He called upon the people to carefully weigh the option of voting for his (Kiran’s) party which could never reverse the process of bifurcation which reached a point of return.

Poll campaign

Mr. Haribabu said top leaders of Seemandhra would launch the party’s election campaign with the slogan ‘Modi for PM- BJP for Seemandhra Development’ on March 25 at Visakhapatnam.

Sir, /BJP contesting all assembly seats in Andhra is simply eating into the TDP or
Lokasatta. no use for any party that want to prove its majority. AS pawn kalyan ,TDP
even Lokasatta are ready to support BJP at the national level, contesting all seats in
Andhra is futile and spoiling the chance of deserved candidates as the voters are
In future there should be only three contenders to elect, not many
parties, mushrooming as if this is a business. It has become a gambling for politicians
