Bio-statistics is playing a major role in every day life: ANU Registrar

Registrar of Acharya Nagarjuna University RRL Kantham on Friday said that Bio-statistics has been playing a major role in every day life.

Addressing the valedictory function of PHARMAANALYTICA-2012 held at Chalapathi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Lam here, Professor Kantham said that research work devoid of statistics was akin to a soul without a body. Dr. Kantham also said that every research should aim to find out the best in best through statistics and also unveils the errors in the research work carried out. Moreover, a pharmaceutical science was such a discipline where statistics was entwined.

Student delegates from 15 pharmacy colleges in and around Guntur district attended the workshop and presented 55 posters on various topics related to the frontiers in pharmaceutical analysis.

G.Achaiah, professor, Kakatiya University, Warangal, K.Panduranga Rao, CEO, Spark Biotek, Chennai and Principal, CIPS, Rama Rao Nadendla were also present.

Students who came up with the best poster presentations were presented cash rewards. J.Manjunathan of University of madras received first prize of Rs.2,000,K.Hanumantha Rao of Krishna University won the second prize Rs.1500.

L.Sathyaveni and M.Manisha of Vasavai college of pharmacy, Thadepalligudam won the third prize.
