Bifurcation: textile federation for A.P. formed

A new body, Andhra Pradesh Textile Federation, has been formed by the textile businessmen in the State here on Sunday. Bifurcation of State necessitated formation of new body. The federation has been formed at a meeting held at Krishnaveeni wholesale cloth market here.

Textile traders from 13 districts attended the meeting and elected Busireddy Malleeswara Reddy and Buchu Venkata Narasimha Rao unanimously as the president and general secretary respectively.

The two names were proposed by Telangana Textile Federation president Ammanabollu Prakash. The federations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana should extend cooperation in fighting against the government in support of their demands.

“Plans have been chalked out to construct permanent buildings for federations in A.P. and Telangana. We also planning to extend financial assistance to the families affected by cyclone Hudhud in Visakhapatnam and neighbouring districts,” said Malleeswara Reddy.
