Bhashyam karatekas reap rich harvest

The karatekas of Bhashyam Little Champs reaped a medals harvest at the State-level Shitoryu karate championship held on Sunday by winning as many as three gold, four silver and six bronze medals, according to school principal Kavitha Lakshmi here on Monday.

In the kata section, young Komal, Class II student, won gold in the below eight age category while Sashank of Class V bagged silver in the below nine age segment. “Md. Ibrahim, Ch. Viswanath, N. Pradeep Kumar, M. Sudheer Kumar and L. Kumar won medals in Kata as well as Kumite divisions. Matching the boys the girls also brought laurels to the school,” said Ms. Lakshmi in a release.

R. Praneetha, Ch. Supraja, Lohiya, R. Tulasi are the young girls who had a podium finish.

Bhashyam School director Ramakrishna, Krishna District Zonal in charge Manoj Kumar, Bhashyam Little Champs principal K. Lakshmi, Bhashyam High School principal Joshi and Karate master (coach) Abdul Khadar took part in the function.
