An Army Recruitment Rally for soldier technical, soldier nursing assistant, soldier general duty, soldier general duty, soldier clerk/soldier storekeeper technical, and defence service corps will be conducted at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium, M.G. Road, Vijayawada from June 15 to 22, according to a statement issued by Army Recruitment Officer and Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer Krishna District.
Unmarried youth from north coastal districts and Yanam are eligible to participate in the recruitment rally and they should have been born between 1990 June 15 and 1995 December 14. Following is the schedule and educational qualifications for each category: Soldier technical: 10 plus 2 with mathematics, physics, chemistry and English; for soldier technical (AVN and AMN examiner) 10 plus 2 or 3-year Diploma in mechanical/electrical/automobile/computer science/instrumentation.
Scrutiny of documents of candidates from Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and West Godavari districts will be on June 15 and physical fitness test on the following day and for candidates from Srikakulam, East Godavari, Krishna and Yanam it is on June 16 and physical fitness test on June 17.
For Soldier (Nursing Assistant) and Soldier (Dresser): 10 plus 2 with 50 per cent marks in Biology/Zoology, Physics and Chemistry and English or B. Sc with biology/zoology, physics and chemistry is essential. Scrutiny of documents will be on June 16 and physical fitness test on the following day.
Soldier General Duty aspirants should be 10 class pass with 45 per cent marks, scrutiny of documents and physical fitness test for candidates from Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and West Godavari will be on June 17 and June 18 respectively and that of Srikakulam, East Godavari, Krishna and Yanam on June 18 and June 19. Soldier Tradesmen aspirants should be 8 class pass; for housekeeper and mess keeper, chef, dresser, painter, artisan, steward, support staff, tailor and washerman 10 pass.
Required height is 166 cms, scrutiny of documents of candidates from Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and West Godavari will be on June 19 for these posts and physical fitness test on 20 and that of candidates from Srikakulam, East Godavari, Krishna and Yanam it is on June 20 and 21.
Soldier Clerk/Soldier Storekeeper Technical aspirants should be 10 plus 2 pass with arts, commerce and sciences scoring 50 per cent marks or B. Sc.
Scrutiny of certificates will be on June 21 and 22 and for Defence Service Corps the scrutiny of documents will be on June 21 and physical fitness test on June 22 and the Tradesmen aptitude test will be held on June 22.
