APSCHE delegation meets Governor

Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) Chairman S. Vijaya Raju and members met Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad on Friday.

They explained the efforts being made to develop the education standards and steps taken to fill the vacant teacher posts in all the universities.

According to an official release, Mr. Narasimhan instructed the APSCHE delegation to conduct periodic reviews on the functioning of universities and to draw up a special action plan for improving the quality of higher education.

He said the State government should call a meeting with Vice-Chancellors to discuss the issues at stake.
