While appreciating Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy for playing the ‘captain’s knock’ in the rejection of A.P. Reorganisation Bill by Legislative Assembly, Krishna District AP-NGOs’ Joint Action Committee (JAC) suggested that a petition be filed in the Supreme Court under Article 131 of the Constitution questioning the Government’s actions which allegedly violated the federal spirit.

“The time has come for Chief Minister to go beyond protesting on the streets as the Central Government has simply brushed aside the concerns of people of Seemandhra and the expectations that he will steal victory from the jaws of defeat are pretty high”, said JAC Chairman A. Vidyasagar.

Addressing media persons here on Saturday, Mr. Vidyasagar, Advocates’ JAC leader N. Srihari, RTC Unions’ JAC leader Y.V. Rao and others said the Central Government has insulted the Members of Parliament belonging to both the Congress and TDP by simply dismissing the amendments which they wanted to be made to the State Reorganisation Bill.
