‘AP govt employees will get two months salary as advance’

The APNGO Association has asked the government to pay as advance salary of two months to all government employees, including employees of APSRTC and municipalities, president of the Association P. Ashok Babu has said.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, he said, in the first phase, all employees who get their salaries through the treasury would be paid two months salary as advance. The rest who fall in the “non-treasury” category would be paid salary advance in the second phase, he said.

Mr. Ashok Babu said a delegation of NGO leaders met Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy recently and asked for an interim relief of at least 50 per cent, health cards, and regularisation of contract workers. The government would make an announcement on these issues soon. The Commissioner for Pay Revision was also requested to submit the 10th Pay Revision Commission Report by December .
