Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) will join hands with reputed US and European universities for high-end research. Vice Chancellor K. Viyanna Rao, during his recent visit to Jan Dlugosz University, Czestochowa, Poland, signed an MoU with Rector Zygmunt Bak for collaboration in research in physics, physical education, commerce and management studies, biochemistry and biotechnology.
“We have decided to develop and promote cooperation between individual faculties, institutes, departments and university entities and organise joint scientific and educational conferences, symposia and seminars,” Dr. Rao said.
The MoU has provisions for research exchange programmes for staff members and promoting works of joint author teams on scientific and academic publications, manuals and teaching aids.
The two universities also agreed to open their Masters and Ph.D. studies to students from partner institutions. The students will be required to undergo training at least for six months in case of M.S. studies and one year for Ph.D at the host university.
Prof. N. Veeraiah from ANU and Michal Piasecki from Jan Dlugolz University coordinated the visit.
