Executive Director of Rural Development Trust Anne Ferrer has been chosen for annual Spoorthi Award instituted by the Bommidala Srikrishnamurthy Foundation for her pioneering efforts to improve the quality of life of rural poor in backward districts of Rayalaseema.

The other recipients of the Spoorthi Awards are Kalipatnam Rama Rao (Telugu Literature), Narasimharaju Yadav (Agriculture), A. Tejovathy (Education). Managing Trustee of foundation Bommidala Srikrishna Murthy told reporters here that the Spoorthi Awards would be presented on January 18 at Sri Venkateswara Vignana Mandiram. Governor of Tamil Nadu K. Rosaiah is the chief guest.
