In a bid to promote the brand name Amaravati, representing the people of the capital region and their talents on international space, a Hyderabad-based animation studio, Sun Animatics, is going to make a full-fledged animation film soon.

Speaking to The Hindu on the sidelines of a meeting here, Sun Animatics managing director Suryadevara Vinod said the studio has produced the movie ‘ Ghatothkach- Master of Magic ’ way back in 2008, which won international acclaim and was screened at the Cannes Film Festival.

“After Ghatothkach , we are now making two films in which the first one will be promoting brand Amaravati. We intended to bring name and fame to Amaravati through our work, which will be of international standards. The fiction movie will have duration of more than 100 minutes and will be a 3D Stereoscopic format movie for international audience,” Mr. Vinod told The Hindu .

He said that experts in the field of animation with the experience of working at top animation studios too will join to make the feature film. “We want to spread the word of Amaravati through this movie. It will reflect our culture and the historical significance,” he added.

Mr Vinod is now the member of Media and Entertainment subcommittee of AP Chambers. He said that they are looking forward to tie up with at least two universities in the State for skill development programmes in animation. His movie Ghatothkach , directed by veteran director Singeetam Srinivas Rao was dubbed into seven languages.
