Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister congratulates Modi, Jayalalithaa

He said the BJP’s victory in Assam and increase in its vote share in other States indicated the rising popularity of Mr. Modi.

Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party national president N. Chandrababu Naidu congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah on their party’s emphatic win in the Assam Assembly elections and for better performance in elections to other States’ Assemblies.

He said the BJP’s victory in Assam and increase in its vote share in other States indicated the rising popularity of Mr. Modi.

Mr. Naidu also congratulated AIADMK chief J. Jayalalithaa for registering an impressive victory in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. He conveyed his compliments to Ms. Jayalalithaa through phone for emerging triumphant amidst stiff competition and forming government for the second consecutive term.

The Chief Minister sent congratulatory messages to Mamata Banerjee and V.S. Achuthanandan for steering the respective parties (Trinamool Congress and Left Democratic Front) to power in West Bengal and Kerala.
