All MLAs except Kolusu quit

All elected representatives of Krishna district, barring Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy, have either resigned or announced their resignation.

Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal and Machilipatnam MP Konakalla Narayana announced their resignation on Friday. Telugu Desam MLAs Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Sriram Rajagopal, and Tangirala Prabhakar announced their resignation. Vijayawada East MLA Yalamanchilli Ravi and Padmajyothi also announced their resignation on Thursday.

Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu and Vellamapalli Srinivas sent their resignation letters to PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana, but Mr. Ravi sent his letter directly to the Speaker. TDP MLAs Dasari Balavardhana Rao and Jayamangala Venkataramana sent their resignations on Friday. Another Congress MLA D.Y. Das announced his resignation on Friday.

Erstwhile TDP MLA Chinnam Ramakotaiah also said that he would send in his resignation. Three MLAs from the district -- Jogi Ramesh, Perni Venkataramayya and Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao -- are under suspension. Avanigadda MLA Ambati Brahmaiah recently passed away.
