All India Art exhibition from today

A two-day All India Art Exhibition will commence here on Friday. A rich collection of works by noted painters from as many as 10 States will be put on display at the Gold Merchants Association hall here as part of the event.

The paintings were chosen by an eminent jury comprising Karnataka Lalitha Kala Academy Chairman C.S. Krishna Shetty and renowned painters S.K. Rajavelu and Osman Khan.

Surabhi Vani Devi to attend

Former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao’s daughter and noted painter Surabhi Vani Devi of Sri Venkateshwara Fine Arts College, Hyderabad, will attend the event, according to Sandhya Rangula of Supriya Kala Nilayam, which is hosting the exhibition.

She said special prizes would be given away to child painters and added that those keen on purchasing paintings could do so.

The participants are from Delhi, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, besides all districts of Andhra Pradesh, Ms. Rangula added.
