The mood was in perfect sync with the theme of the event – ‘We are all one'. Strutting down the memory track, they recollected how they sat in the same class, listened to the same teacher and imbibed the same spirit, the Loyola spirit.
‘The Andhra Loyola College Alumni Association (ALCAA) Reunion 2010' once again brought together old boys of the institution from all corners on the same platform to celebrate their togetherness and chart out their future course of action for a committed cause.
Fr. Devaiah auditorium, the meeting place for the alumni, pulsated with high energy as former classmates tapped shoulders, held arms and embraced each other on Sunday.
Addressing the meeting, president of Lok Satta party N. Jayaprakash Narayan stressed the need to create equal opportunities in the education sector for all sections to enable people of the lower strata of society improve their living standards. He said it was unfortunate that successive governments at the Centre had failed to create an atmosphere conducive for the development of an egalitarian society. He also complimented the Loyola institution for imparting quality education and thus helping its students to scale great heights.
Noted industrialist and chairman of Malaxmi Foundation Y Harish Chandra Prasad, who is also an old student of the college, said the Jesuit institutions were doing a great job of infusing a sense of responsibility and service in the students.
The ALCAA also felicitated on the occasion the donors who contributed for construction of the ALCAA School.
Andhra Pradesh High Court judge Justice G Bhavani Prasad, VGTM UDA vice-chairman G.S.R.K.R Vijay Kumar, college correspondent Fr. D Showraiah, ALCAA director Fr. A Theckemury, associate director, Fr.
