Akula replaces Vellampalli in Vijayawada West

Kapu leader and PCC secretary Akula Srinivasa Kumar has been given a ticket for Vijayawada West Assembly Constituency following the sudden exit of sitting MLA Vellampalli Srinivas, who joined the BJP.

Mr. Srinivasa Kumar’s name was announced in the second list released by the party on Wednesday evening, with just two working days left for the filing of nominations. The party also gave a ticket to Krishna DCC president Naraharisetti Narasimha Rao to contest from the Kaikaluru Assembly constituency.

The other aspirants to whom tickets were issued to contest are: Nerella Sobhana Babu (Penamaluru), Matti Venkateswara Rao (Avanigadda), Chalamalasetti Adikiran (Machilipatnam) and Pinninti Visweswara Rao (Pedana).
