Air India’s latest aircraft made its first landing in Vijayawada airport near Gannavaram on Wednesday.
Airbus A320 Neo was recently added to the fleet of Air India aircraft and had just started serving on the New Delhi-Vijayawada route via Hyderabad. Vijayawada Airport Director G. Madhusudhana Rao said the aircraft made its first landing on Wednesday.
The aircraft was welcomed with the water cannon salute marking its maiden service. Mr. Rao along with Air India Station Manager Rajasekharan greeted the pilots and congratulated them on the inaugural service. The new aircraft has a capacity of 162 seats and is the most fuel efficient aircraft in the group. The aircraft would continue to be in service on the route.
