Young business managers of KL University Business School (KLUBS) showed enthusiasm in knowing about the role of Agro-based industries and opportunities available for them in such firms.

The MBA graduates and undergraduates of various disciplines used the BL Club Talk organised by The Hindu Business Line on ‘Prosperity and Inclusive Growth through Agro-Based Industries' as a platform to clarify their doubts.

The student-industry interface was conducted on the premises of Koneru Lakshmaiah University (KLU), Vaddeswaram in Guntur district on Friday. Students actively participated in the interactive session and raised queries on various topics.

KCP Sugar and Industries Corporation Limited Chief Operating Officer G. Venkateswara Rao, who delivered the keynote address, advised the students to put in hard work with good sense which will elevate them to greater heights.

Pointing out that many students are poor in fundamentals of the subjects and are facing trouble to enter into the market after completing studies, Mr. Rao asked them to focus on basics of each subject. The COO, who received several awards on ‘better management' gave tips to the students on improving managerial skills. Agriculture-based industries would improve the living standards of farmers in rural areas, said Mr. Rao and explained the activities of KCP Sugars.

Economic development

The KLU Business School Director M. Bhaskar Rao said the agro-based firms will provide jobs for the skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled labour in villages and help in socio economic development of the country.
