With none other than the Chief Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrasekhar Rao mounting pressing on the Central government for speedy bifurcation of the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad, the advocates of Andhra Pradesh are hoping that their demand for separate High Court (HC) will be conceded at the earliest.
The State government is learnt to have finalized the building plans for the proposed Justice City at Amaravati and the Chief Justice is said to be awaiting some clarifications on the issue.
Bezawada Bar Association President Ch. S.V. Jagadeeswara Rao told The Hindu that the Justice City has been allotted 3,700 acres and it would comprise HC building, offices of various tribunals, judges’ quarters, a law university and other judicial institutions in addition to public spaces.
“Foundation for the HC building is likely to be laid by Minister for Law and Justice D.V. Sadananda Gowda and Chief Justice of High Court of A.P and Telangana, D.B. Bhosale next month”, he said, asserting that things were moving pretty fast after the CJ visited the Justice City.
Andhra Pradesh Bar Council member S. Rajendra Prasad said advocates from A.P looked forward to speedy bifurcation of the HC and wanted it to happen at the earliest to dispel the misgivings.
