In a star push to its poll campaign, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has roped in Tollywood comedians to canvas for its candidates here.

The comedians known for their wit and humour in Telugu films, have been successful in attracting voters from different segments of society. The comedians - Gundu Hanumantha Rao, Chitti Babu and Pinki - went around localities such as Patamata Rythu Bazaar, Amma Kalyana Mandapam, Christurajupuram and Gayatri Nagar in Vijayawada (East) constituency where people cheered them. Vijayawada (East) candidate Gadde Rammohan did not take part in the campaign.
