ACA lad earns cap in Coca-Cola team

Good news for Andhra cricket lovers and administrators! Md. Rafi, a student of Gurukul Vidyapeeth at Kadapa and an Andhra Cricket Academy player, has earned his cap in the national Coca-Cola XI to play against a foreign team in May.

The final squad was announced at Mumbai’s Air India grounds on Sunday.

Of the 27 young cricketers who were part of the national coaching camp, the best of fifteen were picked up for the final squad. The announcement was made by Saba Karim, former Test cricketer and chief mentor along with Anthony Adams (head coach, Cricket India Academy), Sanjay Bhardwaj, coach of Coca-Cola Cricket Cup and Chetan Sharma, former Test player and P.N. Sankaran, director (operations) of Procam International.

Three players, who perform exceedingly, well during the series, will meet the criteria to travel to the United Kingdom in the next few months to better their cricketing future.
