Family members of Tanguturi Srinivasa Rao (26), who was kidnapped at Bayelsa State in Nigeria on November 26, heaved a sigh of relief after Mr. Srinivasa Rao rang them up on Saturday evening to inform that he had been released from captivity.
Srinivasa Rao’s father T. Seshaiah told media persons at Chintalapudi village in Duggirala mandal that his son had called him up from Nigeria and told him that he had been released.
Mr. Seshaiah thanked the Government of Indiafor taking up the issue with the Nigerian government. Mr. Srinivasa Rao, who completed his MBA in 2012, left for Nigeria along with a family friend, Chandrasekhar Rao, who had been working there for some years.
