In a shocking incident, a 14 year- old girl was kidnapped and raped by a gang at Krosuru on Tuesday. The gang had also reportedly videographed the crime incident, police said.

DSP, Sattenapalli of Guntur district, P. Madhusudana Rao said that the girl was kidnapped by Adi Narendra and his friends, after she had spurned the advances made by the latter on February 14. The girl was abducted the next day while she had gone to work in the chilli fields. The gang forcibly took her to Didugu village in Amaravathi mandal, where they took turns to rape her. The girl was kept in confinement for two days.

Police said that the gang was planning to kill her in Uyyandana village, when they were confronted by the locals. They fled away after leaving the girl.

Police registered a case under Nirbhaya Act after taking the girl for medical examination.

Eight persons including the prime accused, Adi Narendra, have been arrested in this connection.
