: City Police Commissioner D. Gautam Sawang gave new postings and transfer orders to 64 Sub-Inspectors (SIs), Probationary SIs and Rank Promotee SIs and 10 Circle Inspectors (CIs) in the commissionerate on Tuesday.
The transfers were made on administrative grounds. Some officers were transferred from East and West Godavari and Krishna districts and from the Government Railway Police (GRP) to the Vijayawada Police Commissionerate.
Postings were given in Traffic, Police Control Room, City Task Force, City Special Branch, Central Crime Station and other wings.
The CIs who were elevated were given new postings. Some officers were transferred and a few were kept under vacancy reserve, according to a press release.
