3,065 students to handle webcasting in Krishna district

More than 3,500 polling stations will be covered through webcasting by IIIT volunteers whose key role is to record the casting process and telecast it online from the spot

In order to gain a first-hand experience in preparing video archives of previous elections through webcasting, more than 3,000 budding technocrats from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, Nuzvid IIIT, are gearing up for the elections in Krishna district.

“We feel our participation in the big battle by extending technical support to the district administration is a greater responsibility, and we are proud of it,” Nuzvid IIIT Director Ibrahim Khan said. He added this would be the first election for students from various engineering streams.

The students completed basic training in recording casting votes and webcasting. As many as 3,547 polling stations will be covered through webcasting by IIIT volunteers. The key role of is to record the process and telecast it online from the spot.
