The reaction of these government agencies is always after the fact, when a progressive Railway Minister was taking charge and was raising the charges minimally so as to make our Railways more safer, he was hounded out of office by Mamta Benarjee and an impotent Congress government. Before her Laloo introduced the most useless things in railways such as water in clay pots. With such partners in the government how can Indians expect any change?
These ministers should be thrown in those infernos so they can feel common man's pain and suffering.
Smoke Detectors indicating the coach should be available at the drivers cabin (DIGITAL DISPLAY OF COACH NO.) which were already tested on some trains can be put active in the night and punish those who smoke in the compartments in the night to avoid unnecessary hindrance to the Effective usage of smoke alarms.
On alarm, assistant driver should communicate to the indicated attendant, police, tte, of that coatch and find out is it necessary to stop the train or activate priventive measures.
Public awareness campaign should be thoroughly planned prior to implimentation of such projects in the train at least 3 months prior to start punishing smokers in the night.
