Nissan has retailed the 1000th Micra car in the city on Saturday. Micra reached the milestone in just 22 months after its launch in Vijayawada.
Lucky Nissan managing director Sandeep Usman and regional head (sales) Tamal Das handed over the vehicle to customer Gollapudi Rangam Babu at the show room in Enikepadu village on the city outskirts.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Usman said that Nissan which was having outlets at Guntur, Nellore and Bhimavaram was planning to open showrooms in Tirupati, Khammam and Ongole cities shortly.
The car was the fourth generation in Micra, which was having good demand in the market. Micra was available in three models in petrol engines and two in diesel engines, said Nissan Vijayawada Assistant General Manager Md. Asmatullah.
