The mangled remains of the private bus that overturned at Punadipadu near Kankipadu in Krishna district on Friday.
One passenger was killed and about 30 others had a miraculous escape when a bus plying from Hyderabad to Narasapur hit a tree and went off the road at Punadipadu in the outskirts of Vijayawada at around 5 a.m. on Friday.
The injured passengers are being treated at the Time and Boppanna Hospitals in Vijayawada.
The deceased have been identified as Srinivasa Rao, who boarded the bus at Bhavanipuram. The bus driver has been taken into custody.
