Mother’s love can be portrayed effectively through various forms of life, feels noted painter Sandhya Rangula. Exhibiting her rich collection of paintings, including those depicting mother’s love in different life-forms in the semi-modern style, she said: “Mother’s love is eternal. It can be appreciated in all forms of life.”

She added: “Every creature on earth expresses its love for its young ones in a unique manner.” A mother feeding her baby, a calf sucking milk from the cow’s udder, a bird feeding its young ones in a nest and a butterfly showing its young ones how to suck nectar were vividly portrayed by her in a single painting.

“This painting got me the Best Artist award from Amma Arts Academy at Sulurpeta,” recalled Ms. Sandhya even as she joined Mother’ Day celebrations at Supriya Kala Nilayam with budding painters.

A jury comprising Karnataka Lalitha Kala Academy Chairman C.S. Krishna Shetty, noted painters S.K. Rajavelu and Md. Osman Khan short-listed the paintings for display during the all India arts exhibition here later this month.
