Youth should become instruments of change to make this country a super power and vibrant, said R.Seshasayee, Executive Vice-Chairman, Ashok Leyland Ltd., here on Sunday.

Delivering the convocation address at Shanmugha Arts Science Technology and Research Academy (SASTRA) University, Mr. Seshasayee said that young people have great ability to change as they are not burdened with the experience of failure as the old.

Quoting Mahatma Gandhi “be the change that you wish to see around yourself,” he said that young people could challenge the status quo and change. Regretting that a sense of despondency prevailed in the country, he called upon the young graduates to change this situation. “You should say that this is not the country I wish to see. I wish to see a dynamic country which occupies the centre stage of the world,” he said.
