World Bank team inspects GH in Tiruchi

It pays a visit to KAPV Medical College and checks facilities

A World Bank team on Wednesday inspected the health projects being implemented under the Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project in Tiruchi.

The five-member team spent about an hour at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital (MGMGH) here.

The team took stock of the functioning of Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care centre, hospital management system, and so on.

The team members met M.K. Muralidharan, Dean, K.A.P. Viswanatham Government Medical College and about the usage of infrastructure built under the Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project (TNHSP).

They enquired about the field staff on reaching out to the poor and needy patients.

Later, they visited the KAPV Medical College and inspected the facilities set up with the World Bank assistance under the TNHSP.
