A large number of devotees offered worship during Uriyadi in Srirangam on Wednesday night, when Namperumal along with Sri Ubaya Nachiars witnessed the offering of milk, curd, and other holy articles to Sri Krishnan.

The pot breaking festival on Wednesday follows the Sri Krishna Jayanthi celebrations at Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy temple on Tuesday.

The idols of Sri Krishnan, Namperumal and Ubaya Nachiars were taken out in a procession in the morning around the Chithra streets marking the commencement of the festival.

The idols were taken in a procession to the Yadhava Uriyadi Mandapam on Amma Mandapam Road in the afternoon.

Uriyadi was performed in the night when holy articles including milk and curd were offered by breaking the pots.
