University students shine at fest

K. Meena, Vice Chancellor, Bharathidasan University, honouring a member of the university team which excelled at the inter university cultural competitions held at Gulburga.

The team from Bharathidasan University excelled at the south zone level inter-university youth festival 2012 at Gulbarga in Karnataka from December 15 to 19. The students won first prize in three events and second prize in three more.

The team won first place in skit, classical instrument-non percussion and cultural rally, and second place in mime, folk/tribal dance and classical dance.

K. Meena, Vice Chancellor, Bharathidasan University, felicitated the award winning students on Friday.

S. Aruchamy, registrar (in-charge), and T. Kanagasabai, coordinator of the Art and Culture Centre of the university, offered felicitations.
