Two killed, 10 injured in accident

Two persons were killed and 10 others injured when a Kerala State Transport Corporation Bus proceeding to Velankanni from Kerala rammed a lorry parked on the roadside at Ammapettai, 20 km from here, in the early hours of Monday. The deceased were 50-year-old woman Mariam Selvam from Kottayam and a two-and-a-half-year-old child Jenis Sebasti from New Delhi. The injured were admitted to Thanjavur Medical College Hospital. Ammapettai police have registered a case.
