Two differently-abled land dream jobs with US company

Two differently abled persons got placed with an US-based HR company in the city on Monday.

John Regiss, head, special initiatives, VDart Technologies Private Limited, handed over the appointment orders to Dominic Francis (24) and Adi Shakthi (23) in the presence of C. Tamilselvi, assistant director, district employment office.

The candidates have been selected from among the 12 shortlisted to join the company, according to A. Kalai Selvan, junior employment officer, district employment office. The 12 candidates were shortlisted from among the 43 participants that attended the employment camp for differently abled organised by the district employment office on Thursday.

Mr. Dominic of Crawford and Ms. Shakthi from Manapparai will be employed as recruiters with the Tiruchi branch of the company.

“While the two have been issued orders to join work immediately, the remaining 10 candidates would be given language training before determining whether they could be employed,” Mr. Regiss said.
