Two arrested for killing security guard in Tiruchi

A special police team cracked the case of murder of a private security guard near Tiruchi Railway Junction a few days ago by arresting two persons on the charge of committing the offence.

The security guard G. Balasubramanian (58) was found murdered while he was on security duty at the railway construction site near the junction. Consequent to the murder, three special teams were formed to probe the case and apprehend the accused.

During the course of investigation, the involvement of S. Pandiarajan (26) and S. Balamurugan (30) in the offence came to light. The two were arrested on Monday and they confessed to have committed the murder, a police release here said. The accused used to consume liquor near the construction site which was prevented by the security guard several times. The guard had informed Railway Police about the accused stealing railway property, the release added. Both were sent to remand.
