AIADMK and DMK paint the town in party colours
The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) are involved in a war of sorts on the walls of Tiruchi.
The walls are splashed with multi-colour, eye-catching political graffiti by the two parties.
While the DMK has launched a full-fledged campaign for its tenth State conference scheduled for February 15 and 16 near Dheeran Nagar, the AIADMK has painted the walls in luminous colours with praises of party leader and Chief Minister Jayalalithaa for her 66 birthday that falls on February 24.
Not a single wall in public places in the city and other parts of the district has been spared. The DMK has specially drafted more than 50 wall painters and artistes. It plans to cover neighbouring districts also.
The campaign by both the parties is expected to hot up in the days to come.
