Distribution of sweets to orphans marked the highlight of the Independence Day celebrations on the District Court premises here on Wednesday.
P.Velmurugan, Principal District Judge, hoisted the National Flag and gave away sweets to the children.
He underlined the responsibility of every citizen in protecting our country’s freedom.
Shiv Bhujan Tiwari, Additional District Judge from Jharkhand, participated as a special invitee.
Rahman, Judge of the Mahila Court, Tamilselvi, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Balachandran, Jayaraj and Navamurthy, all Additional Sub-Judges, and A. Murugesan, president of bar association, were among those present on the occasion.
