Trichy Congress condemns Arvind Kejriwal’s remarks on leaders

Congress cadre staged demonstrations in the city on Tuesday condemning Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his remarks against Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, P.Chidambaram and G.K.Vasan, and demanding the BJP and other opposition parties to co-operate with the government in passing various bills in the last session of parliament.

The demonstration organised by the Tiruchi urban district unit of the Congress was led by G.Jerome Aroyayaraj, its president. Sarubala R.Tondaiman and S.Sujatha, State vice presidents, and other leaders participated in the agitation.

Raise slogans

They raised slogans demanding the resignation of Mr.Kejriwal for violating constitutional provisions.

A group of Congress workers affiliated to the south district unit of the party staged a demonstration at Somarasampettai. Puliyur Nagarajan, vice president of the south district unit , led the agitation.
