Training for police recruits aims at proper enforcement of law and order

Police recruits should develop an attitude to render service to the people, said K. A. Shanmuga Rajeswaran, Inspector General of Police, Armed Reserve, Tiruchi.

Addressing the police recruits at the passing-out parade here on Thursday, he said that the training imparted to them aimed at proper enforcement of law and order. Police personnel had a greater responsibility in ensuring social order and decency in civil society.

More than once, he emphasised the need for maintaining physical fitness by practising the fitness exercises taught to them during the training. “It is physical fitness which keeps you smart and enables you to discharge your duties,” he said.

Mr. Shanmuga Rajeswaran also gave away certificates to three toppers. J. Loganathan, Principal of the Police Recruit School, said that in all 89 police recruits underwent the training for six months. They were exposed to various training like bomb detection, yoga and karate.
